SU 2017 M1
-
Can anyone direct me to the download page for SU 2017 maintenance release 1? I saw a post (by a SketchUp team member) on the impending release about a week ago on the Sketchp forum, then today I see Alex Shreyer posted on his blog about a maintenance release 1 on his blog as well. Yet, when I go to http://www.sketchup.com/download/all there is no mention of it?

I don't think its released yet. Probably it will be soon(TM)...
Out of curiosity; what did Alex post on his blog about M1? If I look on his website blog I don't see anything.. -

He didn't tell us anything we didn't already know from the release information with SU 2017, apart from the mention of the maintenance release.

SU2017M1 was released on 17 November. Win version is 17.1.174 and Mac is 17.1.173. You can always get the most recent version here.

Thanks Dave, that makes it stranger. When I go to "help>check for update..." it returns that I'm using the latest version of SketchUp, but the release number under "help>about sketchup..." reads version 17.0.18899 64-bit. The link you provided is the same I gave above, if this is correct then it seems they no longer make mention of the specific version (which release / maintenance release) it is you're downloading, I'm sure this was clearer in the past... Not very helpful, eh.
+++ EDIT +++
Also checked the official Sketchup Blog, no mention there of a Maintenance Release either. -
OK, downloaded again, installed again (run as Administrator of course), and checked the version number, it now reports 17.1.174. Thanks for that!
Where will I find the changelog?

Search the Help files for Release Notes.

So there is an unofficial M1 / new release? Can we see the changelog online somewhere? If it's mainly mac fixes I won't bother to install (you never know if it breaks something else)
Edit: here it is:

I'd say it's official since its freely available for download.

IMHO They need to fix the Help link. When I clicked on the Check for Update link, it said my version was up to date but it was not this version.
I had the same problem, I'm not sure if that may be one of the bugfixes they are referring to.

Fixed an issue in which UI::Notifications didn’t appear within localized builds of SketchUp.

Sorry for the confusion guys. We often "soft release" things where we update the installers you can find on our sketchup.com/download/all page, but we don't increment the updater system that notifies users in the application. We are in the process of doing that today, so later this week the Check for Update functionality in the application will work as you would expect.
Thanks for you patience,

Thanks for the heads up on that Tyler.
