How to select without selecting the back??

Hi you all,
I think there is a plugin or sth that can enable me to select without selecting the back of an item. does someone know this plugin or how to do it without the plugin? thanks very much!

Thomthom's Vertex Tools has an option to ignore backfaces.
After select hit the space to drop the vertex tool and the selected verts convert to a regular selection.

HoverSelect has also the capability for selecting edges. There is a rectangle selection tool.

Does it ignore a face normal? Only selecting the front face visible to camera?

It does not select faces unfortunately, only edges.
But it's relatively easy to do
