All pattern options or just one?

maybe some of the pros could look into some speed optimisations

          Sam IS a pro. πŸ˜„

I don't think there are massive gains to be made in that area. Adding, intersecting dense geometry within a Sketchup plugin IS a slow process. This has been discussed many times..
Maybe in 2014, things are better, I don't know, still on 8.

There might be performance to gain by using the second options argument disable_ui in model.start_operation. It prevents the UI from trying to update as the model changes for the duration of the operation. Often this can give signification improvement.

If 2014 doesn't automatically create the Plugins folder, you can create it and copy plugins to

                    C;\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins

There's a link in my first post of this thread. They are in a sub folder of the one (BTW_Textures) they should be in when used by the script.
(And don't forget to move any textures you DON'T want to use into a subfolder.)
Might be a good idea to make a shortcut to the plugins folder for easy access since you'll have to move textures in and out.

                              Sdmitch,

It doesn't work well for me. I've clicked on wood, it assumed default values and the cursor changed to the face picker. I choose the face and it went on creating the floor tiles:

                              • I couldn't change parameters at firts;
                              • After that I couldn't use the plugin again until I restarted SU
                              • After restart the same thing problem started all over.

I hope this is a minor fix, because this is big for arch viz. If you need a video showing the steps, I'll reproduce them as they were consistently repeating.

                              Thank you,

Hi SD Mitch..Excellent , excellent , plugin, wow...this will be very useful. There are two things though. How do you control the magnitude of the imperfections. For example in the wood type, the imperfections( like the levels )are a bit to strong.

The other thing is, in reality when tiles are set they are not perfectly leveled in Z , it will be most evident when you see the reflection of objects in aglossy floor. Is it possible to randomly rotate each by its center axis say about .2 to .5 degree in both x & y?

This might be too much to ask.. Otherwise hey, I can do it manually...Thanks for the wonderful plugin...

Since you had used a previous version, the problem may be a conflict in the stored defaults. I suggest that you select the "Reset" option at the bottom of the pattern list. This will initialize all defaults. Hopefully this will clear up the problem.
