Help with circles and arcs
-
 **Hi all, newbie here
There's something I don't understand with circles and arcs. I draw a logartmic spyral as shown in the pic below..
now, my problem is that I don't find the way tho join the single arcs to treat them as one.. The same happens if I draw circles instead of arcs. In this case, after erasing the circles parts I dont need, it treats the resulting arcs as the singles 'sides' number I set for my circle.. hope it make a sense..
Is there someone can help me?
 Thx**

You can weld them together, search for weld plugin.
-
Draw it as a set of 1/4 circle arcs as you depicted.
Select all the arcs and explode the curves. This will give you defined endpoints.
Make the whole thing a group.
Turn on End points in the styles dialog.
Then using a Biezier curve (plug-in tool), trace each endpoint in one go.The result will be a single smooth curve.

Just welding the arcs will make the curve the OP was looking for. Why the need for all the exploding and other extra work?

You can use the new arc tool to create the spiral and weld it afterwards... [screenr:n1v3bjmm]PtxN[/screenr:n1v3bjmm]

There are several tools that will reform a set of linked edges, arcs or curves into a single 'curve' entity.
The original oldie 'weld' is available from Smustard.com [with several prompts as it processes the selection]
Several other tools have something similar as part of a broader toolset...
My own "TIG-weld" is available in the SCF PluginStore - it just does the one prompt-free 'welding' job on suitable preselected line/curve sets.
