      .

depending on the desired shape, you may be able to use the followMe tool to do a rail revolve:

I need to turn followingan irregular shape, not a circle; and the second issue is to incline the axis of rotation in a non perpendicular direction - please see a tutorial image or video "Rail revolve" of rhino

I don't believe it works with tool you suggested...

to do an off-centered or non-perpendicular revolve axis, you should probably just use rhino.. πŸ˜‰

(or- set up multiple profiles of the shape at various locations along the path then loft it with curviloft.. this may or may not be possible with your desired revolve.. upload a .skp for better advice)

this solid in picture is made by a real lathe with axis of rotation out of center and inclined, the spindle move along a rail profile.
in Rhino after designing the basis "rail" profile (2d or 3d), designing the axis rotation in one shot make this with "rail revolve" in one shot.

please tell me all the steps to follow in sketchup with a geometrical control of basis figures (1-rail profile, 2-section path, 3-rotation axis), without slicing in many parts

why don't you use rhino to do this? seems like the best way-- especially if you're looking for fastest/easiest/most accurate..

I don't want to leave sketch-up for Rhino; I designed these shape with sketchup with much effort using only starting from rail profile basis push-pull + scale sveral times to follow the path preferred and editing free hands the model. When a friend of mine sowed me Rhino does it in one shot command I got crazy.. It is a challenge to do it in sketchup.
Is there a good guy able to set up a plug in similar to "push-pull and scale following a path" (and an axis)?

if we have a push-pull and scale following a path of a 3d basis rail ( I mean a plan figure in 3d like a chipster) we can do it!

here is a .skp file and jpg files showing as follow-me doesn't work but push/pull+scale work but working in a very slow way

Why you don't make the inverse in your special case? πŸ˜‰

Take the horinzontal section then make a little vertical loft!
I believe that Curviloft by Fredo can make that!
Take a face start (your section), a face end (any what you want )and your profile as path! πŸ˜‰

Ps Post your file as V6 for a more large audiance! πŸ˜‰

                    Thank you Pilou,
As Jeff suggested I'd need to set up in size and position my basis horizontal and connect them two each time with curviloft, but it is too long for my design as in samples I posted where I solved simply with repeated pull/push+scale.... I search something to short this process

you might be able to do your example fairly quickly with curviloft's sweep function (the middle icon in its toolbar)

if you duplicate your profile curve and mirror it to the other side of the path then use the two profiles as rails, it should give the desired results. I'm on a phone right now- I'll try it out later.

This is curviloft, as jeff suggested. Is it what you want to achieve?
I've simplified the profile because there was a ton of segments.

I'm proud that help arrived from Italy to Italy!

Now let's try to shake it tilting the shapes or modify the basis figure in 3d shape

                            thank you for your helps

                            all the best to you

                                      Something like this πŸ˜„

Separate the Profile (welded) for a better easy selection of the segments!
                                      Select the profil
                                      Select the surface
(click twice on the middle of the surfaces - zoom it)

Click Twice on the empty Space

And curiously prefere an horizontal "profil"! (so just a rotation from my previous post! πŸ˜‰

                                      Thickness will follow the skin!
