the undo button just does undo properties. It wont even undo the last command.
I've had this same problem for several weeks

I haven't seen this on either my PC or Mac. Weird.
-
i noticed that ThomThom was having the same problem..

maybe its a glitch that has popped its head up again???

Do you have component manager installed? If so update it. If not, look at EDIT Window and see what is in front of undo.
-
Mostly "undo properties" and some about "observers". Do not have Components Manager installed.
-
I tried two things:
For sketchup 8 pro i uninstalled and reinstalled, and it worked fine for about a 1/2 hour and then it started doing the same thing...only letting me do one undo before it starts undoing properties only...So then i restored windows from a point about two weeks ago, long before the last group of windows updates, and it seems to be working fine now. I can undo more than once, and i can manually input dimensions while in the active push pull command. However after finishing up the project last night, im a little hesitant to fire up sketchup again for fear that it will revert back to being unusable..

So Ctrl-Z does not undo? Is it possible some plugin is doing this? Have you tried with the Plugins folder temporarily renamed so plugins can't load?
-
Dave R. When my deadlines slow down a little bit i might try and reinstall the windows updates to see if it happens again, and ill try temporarily disabling the plugins folder if it does, but for now i cant spare the time to trouble shoot. I will also try and remove any outdated plugins that might be causing conflicts to.
but so far rolling back the windows updates seems to be working...

Undo
OK for me if all plugins were removed.
SU pro 2013
Which one???
Maybe one of them is holding memory space.dtr

Put half of them back and see if the problem occurs again. If so, it's in the half you put back. If not it's in the other half. Problem is, it could be a couple of plugins fighting each other.

Hi Y'all

If it's "Undo Add Layer Observer", it's related to Layers Panel. I fixed it and will soon release an update.
As for "Undo Properties", it's not Layers Panel. But it's a generic name, it happens when a plugin doesn't give names to its operations. -

I have deactivated it and the problem persists... now is is even happening when I have just started Sketchup with an empty file and have not yet done anything. Seems I have to test my plugins one by one to find out which is responsible.

Re-read the post right above yours Pherim. Jiminy suggests it is also possible that it might be his plugin - Layer Panel. Check to see if you have that installed.
-
TT also found a bug that produces "Undo properties" in some cases with Layers Panel. I'll publish a fix soon.

One question, is it enough to disable the plugin in the plugins/extension manager of the Plugin Store? I did this first and it still appeared directly after starting Sketchup, but when I played around a little with various tools it did not seem to happen again. I don't know if it was Component Manager or Layers Panel, still have to test that and see if it really is gone now.

The bug should be fixed in version 1.0.1
