Vray proxy.
-
Hi Everyone!
Is it normal that exporting vray proxy in Sketchup 2013 take a very long time? I have 12 000 faces model (which is grouped several times inside) and export to vray proxy takes about 20min (SU seems to be freezed for this time). Is there something wrong with my model or its just normal?

Yes, unfortunately this happens on occasion. There is a bug in the current release, and there will be a patch released soon to fix this (and a few other issues.) You could try the obj to proxy converter if you have the file in obj format.

reading/writing sketchup geometry data can be rather slow, but we did find some optimizations for the patch that andybot mentioned If you're interested in testing a nightly build to see if it behaves better for you, we would like to hear some feedback. Just send me a PM.

Thank you very much for your support. Unfortunately I've just registerd here so I cant send you PM. If there is any other to try this nightly build I want it. : )

It's definitely fixed in the nightly. I had this issue a few months ago and it was fixed right away by Devin and the Chaos crew. Large models take about 10-15 seconds now.
