One File Won't Export
-
Hi!
I have a house model built in SketchUp Make (free version) which will not export when I use the extension "OBJexporter." I've been using this extension successfully on many house and furniture objects without incident. At first I suspected long texture/material file names; so I shortened the file names; seems not to be the problem. I also checked texture/material file size, but this too was not the issue. So, I'm stumped!
A copy of the file can be found here at 3D Warehouse:
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=f855a6491f86a806be024c17f1e95abc
I hope that someone might be able to determine the problem.
Thanks in advance for your help.

the 3 d ware house shows the model as sU8, is that correct?
I used tigs objectexporter, installed in my su8 but got bug splat 3 different times when I tried to export. I have not used this much at all. will try with make and see what happens -

That's great! But I have the FREE version which does not have a built-in exporter.

The really strange part is that I don't have this problem on any of my other models. Just this one.

I confirm that the OBJexporter fails [splats] when trying to export this file.
There's nothing wrong with the file/instance/group/material/texture names so I can't see what's up.
It gets half way to the end of the OBJ and fails.
It uses much the same code as my Octane exporter. That works fine !

Hi TIG! Is your "Octane" exporter available in the plug-in store? Thanks for testing the model.

The similar Octane tool is only available to download if you bought a [cheap] beta-license for Octane...
However, it is 'almost identical' to the version here... so I am at a loss to see the difference that causes a spat -
I deleted all materials in the orginal OP model and it will export then. Maybe that is too trival a case?? Did get the obj and mtl folders

I don't mind paying for the license. If you had success with your version then perhaps it's an OBJexporter extension issue; the extension has not been updated (could that be an issue?).
Appreciate your help!

I was able to export the model, but in pieces. What confounds me about this particular model it uses almost all the same materials I use in other models which I have had no problem exporting with the extension OBJexporter.
I do appreciate all the help and suggestions. This is a wonderful community! Thank you.
