Base Camp 2014.

It's probably too late now, but I would have thought a company as big as Trimble could have organised some sort of corporate discount for ski passes as a perk for basecampers.
A chopper on standby will do nicely

Packed all the stuff tonight. Will be at the Cascade Saturday afternoon. Hitting the slopes on Sunday. I imagine there is a bar we can meet up for those arriving early to maybe coordinate a few runs together on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

To everyone going to base camp, have a brilliant time, take photos and video to share with all us not going, and don't do anything I would do.

I believe that Vail allows uphill traffic, bring your skins and save your cash for scotch. I'll be trying to get in a morning run before camp starts.
-
Right, I'm here and up for some skiing tomorrow if anyone is around?
-
I bet the SketchUp folks weren't hoping for road closures when they planned an event in Vail this late in the season.

I made it as far as Fresno CO and had to pull off and find a place to stay.
Hope the sailing is clear in the morning, Vail is not seeming like the smartest place to hold this right now, and I have to eat the cost of the room that I can't make it to. They told me no changes after 21days before.a sucky start.

I finally made it! Took 3-4 hours for the 5:30 shuttle to make it...but we did!
Saw Mayor Mike holding court at the bar when I arrived at my room and looked from the 2nd floor to see who all was in the bar that I recognized.Must get fooood...checking out the restaurant!

Is there a functioning hashtag to follow for those of us who are sitting at home kicking ourselves for missing fresh powder and fresh ideas?
