Need advice on curvy bits please
-
Hi There,Been a long time since my last vist(computer problems!)
I have done quite afew models with sketchup and had them 3dprinted.The tricky stuff I have to pay a designer to do for me.
I can do buildings,truck trailers etc with no trouble(took awhile tho
)
But I would really like to learn how to do stuff like the cab on the truck in attachment,chassis and wheels etc are no problem.
I have "curviloft"and had a wee play and have managed to make a wall with thickness and curve on one side.Would this plugin be the best way to do all the curvy bits needed?
Any help I could get from you "amazing" sketchup experts would be very very helpful and greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Stu

Get the plans, top/side/front, and start from there.
Break each element into little blocks and tackle each individually.
You shoud post where you have difficulty as so far there's nothing to give advice on.

There are many Youtube tutorials on how to model cars and planes in SketchUp.
All of the suggested techniques can be readily applied to modeling what your image shows...
It just needs hard work
