    • Can I split a component into two halfs?

Hi,this probably a stupid question but I have tried but cant get anywhere.
Now picture this if you will.....I have made a house roof in a scale of 1:120 and made it a component(part of a complete house that I 3dprinted).
Now I scaled my model up to 1:64.As my printer bed isnt big enough for this size model I want to split roof into two halfs eg:two seperate components(so I can print two seperate halfs)
Is this possiable or do I have to redraw the whole model?Im going to have the same issue with the floors and walls.
      Hope this makes sense.
Thanks for time in reading this.
      Cheers

    • Need advice on curvy bits please

Hi There,Been a long time since my last vist(computer problems!)
I have done quite afew models with sketchup and had them 3dprinted.The tricky stuff I have to pay a designer to do for me.
I can do buildings, truck trailers etc with no trouble(took awhile tho πŸ˜† )
But I would really like to learn how to do stuff like the cab on the truck in attachment, chassis and wheels etc are no problem.
I have "curviloft"and had a wee play and have managed to make a wall with thickness and curve on one side.Would this plugin be the best way to do all the curvy bits needed?
Any help I could get from you "amazing" sketchup experts would be very very helpful and greatly appreciated.
      Cheers
