Flower petal rotated with plugin?
-
Hello, am new here and found no topics on my question so here goes
I was watching this video on how to make a flower and at 3:10, the user used something to rotate the flower petal that I can't seem to repeat or see what tool he used.
Does anyone know if its a plugin or is it a PRO version tool? Thanks.

He uses the radial bend tool from the Fredoscale plugin.
Please read carefully the Fredo's post and manual for installation and usage. -
thanks mate, but it seems that i can't install it as im using 7... oh well i guess i'll deal with a flat petal
thanks again

Works fine in SU 7. What do you mean with "I can't install"?
In 7 you can't use the SCF plugin store or the extension manager, but you can use the "old" method: just download Fredoscale & LibFredo and put them in the plugins folder following the correct footprint. -
To reiterate...
Auto-install from RBZ archives only works with >=v8M2 - so the latest v8 or v2013 have that option button in Preferences > Extensions and the SketchUcation PluginStore works fully with these versions too...
An RBZ archive is a renamed ZIP file.
So for earlier versions you need to download the .RBZ archive and rename it .ZIP...
Now extract that ZIP's contents to a temporary folder [the unZIP app usually makes that folder named after the archiv itself]... keeping all of the files and files-inside-subfolders in the same relative relationship.
Move these files/subfolders from the temporary-folder into your Plugins folder [ensuring first that you have FULL security permissions to change files in it !].
Finally restart SketchUp to load the toolset.
Note with some toolsets [like Fredo's] you need to also install a 'Lib' before it will work.
A few plugins do need some special functions that are only available in >=v8 or Pro versions... but many do work on v7 or Free/Make versions too...
These usually say this in their download page's info... -
