The gesture is from you guys! Setting up the campaign was not very complicated.

Great Stuff!
-
An even $900 now.
-
Up to $925. Get well soon, Dan.

You guys rock... As soon as my bank account reads positive I'll be donating too. Dan is a very generous teacher.
-
The donations are going well. The figure is now $965!
-
Just hit $1000! Thanks to the last member for donating $35

Wow... you made me cry.
Thank you all so much.
I am way too shy to have ever have set up something like this myself. JBB (Thomas) did not ask me, he just did it! If he had asked first, I likely would have said no. I hate being the center of attention.
Thank ya'll so much. Every little bit helps!

Thanks for sharing that Dan
Thomas had a great idea... he just did it...and why not?
I hope your spirit is strong and serene - money comes and goes... of course only our 'deep heart' stands on the path.
PS get better soon as we need ruby help!!!

It's not about you being the center of attention. It's about a community being able to stand up when one of its best member really needs help !
I know $1000 is not so much when we're talking about health. But I hope it'll help a bit facing this.
(FYI guys, Dan told me he will need about 5 times more than what we raised ! So even if you can't give a lot, please do. Like he says "Every little bit helps!")

Lets try to ping this thread so it gets attention and catch more people.

good idea TT
maybe some of the render forums can post a link to here

Dan now gets donations directly, without me being the middleman. (And I transfered him everything I got so far)

Good Job Jim... I raised $2500 for a guy here in the states who was fired from his job at Autozone just before Christmas for stopping a robbery in progress. I used Chipin and they let me just put his paypal email addy in, so I never had to touch the money. I hope this one keeps going for a little while longer so I can donate... I'm still broke. But as soon as I can I'll be on it. Get well soon Dan!
