Resolved - Soap Skin Bubble not working
-
I am having trouble with Soap Skin Bubble.
The new plug-in manager says it's installed, but it is not showing up on any menus.
Using free version 8.0.15
What might the problem?
Thanks.

Soap Skin & Bubble has strange installation instructions - it says to install it into the Tools folder [where you couldn't 'manage' it!].
BUT it should work if it's properly installed in the Plugins folder.
Ensure you only have it installed in one location!
Remember that it is an Extension and so that needs loading too ?
Simply using load/disable on the .rb plugin is insufficient if the extension is 'off' !With the plugin loading and its extension 'on' you should then get the menu/toolbar entries...
You might have to activate the toolbar too... -
Thanks TIG.
I'll double check the folder and file locations.
I've had to re-install several plug-ins and extensions since moving to 8. Once re-installed, they seem to work fine. That's probably the case this time, as well.

Despite the instructions, I have always extracted the entire ZIP archive to my Plugins folder and it works fine. A few moments ago I downloaded a fresh copy of SSB and installed it that way. It seems to work just fine for me.
Is it possible you've got some other plugin conflicting with it? Maybe the Vray plugin?

Re-installed. Still not working.
Deleted old files as well.
No Vray installed.
Verified it is the latest. 2013 copyright.

Could you try renaming your Plugins folder to something like 'Original Plugins', make a new Plugins folder and install SSB into that new folder? Then see if you can get it to work.

Resolved!
On a hunch, I looked for it under View>Toolbars and low and behold, there it was. DOH! (slaps head) Silly me.
Now working properly.
Thanks for all your help TIG and Dave. (sincerely. you helped me eliminate the possibilities helping me trouble shoot this much quicker)
Seems odd it doesn't register under the top menus, Tools, Plug-ins or Windows.

Sorry, I didn't realize the problem was that you couldn't find the toolbar. I thought the plugin wasn't working. I'd have suggested that you pull out the toolbar if I'd known.

I didn't even realize that WAS the problem.
