this is the most incredible update to date....
i'm stunned at the amount of improvements
And it's a free upgrade. -
I know....
...hard to believe what they just released
-
I need to read the manual and digest all the improvements, but after a few quick tests Field Mapping has completely blown me away.
Biased results that are so close to unbiased renders is an amazing achievement!

The new BSD (field mapping) is a game changer, not only does it render shadow catcher but now it renders at the same lighting quality as the unbiased TR1 but just very very much faster.
Take this image, it would take around 2-3 hours unbiased to clear up which I think is fair, how about 22 minutes and it's clean.
(no post work, raw render)

meeeeh!...why did i buy maxwell for almost 1000 Euro...if i only knew
also i have a geforce gtx 670..
-
The more i use it the better it gets, felt a bit baffled at its UI when i first used it compared to vray.
-
awesome!
