Biagio lamp
-
A sexy shape. Was designed in 1968 by Tobia Scarpa (the son of Carlo). Lamp body carved from a single block of Carrara marble.
Modeled with SU and rendered with Thea. Relight and CRF in Thea and just a slight noise reduction on the lamp + contrast, color correction, diffusion and vignette in Magic Bullet Photolooks.

impressive! reminds me of the nautilus speakers from bowers & wilkins...

Hi massimo, very nice, which plug in have u used? curviloft...thank u
-
I think the design of the lamp is particularly ugly (personal taste), however the material setup and modelling is quite excellent. Well done.

Yeah, just a bit.

No plugins were used for most modeling. Actually despite the appearance it's quite a simple shape. See the picture below.
The worst part was beveling the edges since nothing quick worked. So I've used the "offset" tool from Fredo's "tools on surface", then erased the corners and rebuilt the surfaces.@unknownuser said:

Really? I find it quite fascinating (personal taste of course).

Yeah, it's raw SU.

Thank you Bryan.

That is tasty.
I'd love to see the material settings.

Here you go Rich. The texture is always the same of the diffuse slot.
Based on Patrick's 3d print material.
