No plugins were used for most modeling. Actually despite the appearance it's quite a simple shape. See the picture below.

The worst part was beveling the edges since nothing quick worked. So I've used the "offset" tool from Fredo's "tools on surface", then erased the corners and rebuilt the surfaces.
