The Thea developers seem to have a much better relationship with their community. I bought Thea back in its beta stage, about the time VRay 1.49.01 was out (round about). Since that time thea has added and show cased further development. It gives hope to owners to see whats happening in the future.
I would love to see this happen with VRay4Su. To see a quick clip of RT working, even though its not fully developed would give me hope that its on its way. Hate the silence.
Give us hope -
They will be at Basecamp - maybe they can show of something? At least I'll quiz them on a status update.

Funny, I was just playing with vray RT the other day (with the standalone engine.) There are just so many new and improved features in the current vray engine, but I can only begin to imagine the pain involved in porting that to sketchup. I'd be very curious too to hear what the developers say at basecamp. Wish I had the opportunity to go.

Seems there's the same amount of people, just we don't really comment on each other's work. I don't really see true criticism any more.

Sorry we've been so quiet guys. We've had some optimization improvements, stability improvements, and a few new features added to the latest dev version, but it's just not quite ready for a beta. We've been quiet, because we've been busy pounding the keyboard. Corey and Fernando should be at Basecamp this year, so you should be able to take a peek at what's going on if you're going, and you can ask them what's going on behind the curtain. We've knocked out pretty much every reported bug from 1.49.01 (other than comments such as "this button is too square" or "maybe you should change the text alignment", so thank you to everyone that took the time to send in those bug reports. RT is up and running for the most part, as is the dome light. I'm sure Corey and Fernando will be more than pleased to show off the rest of features and improvements. Once we are at a point where we are prepared to take in new tasks and a fresh list of bugs, we will be starting up beta. As Vlado mentioned, that time is coming soon. We really wanted to kick it off sooner, but we also didn't want people testing something that was obviously not ready.

This is a first for Vray, going to be nice to see y'all at Base-camp. Very curious to know what y'all are gonna show. I'm guessing VrayRT4SU?

I hope Thomas can give us a full report of what he sees. I wish I was in Boulder right now!!!

Couldn't get proxies in there (and presentable) in time for Basecamp, but they're on the way.

I got to see the future - and it's great! Even though I didn't get a presentation of proxies there was lots of other really cool stuff there. RT - for those of you who care about that. Progress window is back, some very nice VFB features.
Really looking forward to get my hands on the beta!
