Are you using a remote desktop app or is this some kind of jailbreak jiggery pokery?
-
My theory...
The iPad is linked to the desktop computer with a USB cable [as is indicated].
Sketchup is 'running' on that machine's OS, and not the iPad's.
Something allows the SKP to be viewed and controlled by the iPad 'remotely'...
As far as I know only iPad "viewing of SKP files" works, with a specialist app; that's because Sketchup itself can't run ON the iPad OS.
So... what is the 'something' that is allowing the remote connection/control between the two systems ?

The iPad is only charging I just wanted to show that's it's an iPad by pointing at the cable.

I've tried it, but proper modelling is so laborious, it isn't worth bothering with. Ideally you need an app that uses multi-touch to allow for proper navigation.

Excellent narration there Rich, cough, cough

I've got Splashtop remote on my new iPad and can use SU or any PC software including video through WIFI.

As someone once said Mike....
If a picture is a thousand words then what's a video worth?

Yes you have Su on Ipad, but's what is advantage?
Seems you lost a factor 10 or 100 in speedy creation! -
