Copy and past

ok i make a line straight up. select it so its blue then copy it. up until today when i hit past to place a copy of it it would always let me place it from the bottom of the line. for some reason it is make me place it from the top wich does nothing for me because im working off the floor. how do i change this so it works from the bottom?

How about at least a screen shot so we can see what you're getting? And why are you using copy and (I assume you mean) paste? Why not just use the Move/Copy function and grab the line where it makes sense to you?

Check your axes are set to the original axes.
Perhaps you have modeled upside down ?
