Sketchup Vray material problem
-
Hello Everybody,
Im trying to render a Interior szene, but i have huge problems with my materials.
Every kind of "wood, chrome or glas" material, for example on the "cigar table" have a white/grey film on it, it looks
like a white fog over the material. So what can i do to make the material look like it should look... ?I use Sketchup 8 and Vray 1.49.01 for rendering.

My 2 cents on this is adjust the matertial reflection and subdivision rate.
Nice render btw.

Hi Keen,
maybe you can give a bit grey color to your reflection -> filter color
to reduce the glossy effect look..nice table model bytw..

It's reflecting the color of your wall and ceiling. I would use a Fresnel reflection and turn the perpendicular color down to something like 75-60. I would also turn glossiness down to .9-.85 and increase your subdivisions to something like 22-30 for best results.

I have a different take - looks like your glossiness is less than 1.0. If you want a cleaner reflection, you can change your glossiness to 1.0 and like a previous post mentioned, make the filter color darker.

Andybot's right. I thought you were looking to get a blurred reflection. I second that tinting the relfection may help a bit. Is that a glass shelf on top? If so, make sure its a full solid group and apply a real glass texture with refraction in order to get the most real results.
