Looking for program to make Ames Room for film project.
-
Hallo Everyone,
A lot of very smart and talented people read this forum and so I'd like to ask again for their help.
I have to build an Ames Room as a set for a feature film project.
The principles are outlines here:

My problem is this: the transformation has to be done to a normal, orthagonal model AND it's contents, like furniture.
The model will be used for a blueprint for the construction of the room and all the props inside it (excluding the actors, of course).
Various suggestions have been tried out on a newbie thread here: http://bit.ly/kAsh1S Unfortunately they don't work.Question: does anyone have any good suggestions as to where I should look for a solution? Is there a known function in any other modelling program which may prove fruitful?
Grateful for any hints,Simon Sieverts

A simple search of the forums using 'ames room' [see the top right Search tool] would have shown this very thing has been recently discussed in some detail, with examples etc...

To transform a skewed scale for the contents look at Fredo's Scale toolset too... -

So if he had read he he'd know how to do it

Hallo Tig,
we looked at the Fredo toolset and concluded it wasn't able to do a projectional transformation of the kind you need for an Ames room (namely a transformation with the camera point as origin and effective on every point in the room and it's contents.)
That's why I abandoned the thread and went in search for another solution - even another program where this kind of function was already implemented.
However, maybe we were wrong. Do you think Frodo could do it? I'd be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction.
Best regards,

... to be more specific: Frodo can do affine transformations where parallel lines and planes are preserved, but not a trapezoidal projection from an origin which is what I need.
If I have overlooked something in Frodo which will do this, please tell me. I would be terribly grateful.
Best Regards,
Simon Sieverts
