Resolution vray and sketchup
-
Hello,
I wish to render in V-ray and the image fit perfectly with a sketchup image, so the same camera, but I can not.
Of course I changed the resolution in Vray, I tried to change the focal length of the camera, etc. ... It does not! There is always a lag.
How to have two images that stick well?
Thank you for your help -
Exactly what version of VfSU do you use?
-
also check you are in perspective view, not in parallel view
-
I use the last version in demo 1.49.01

Got a sample model?

It really depends on what you'll use it for. A0 prints are usually seen from larger distance than A4 and A3 and doesn't require the same DPI.
When you have determined the DPI you require for your print, then you use the size of the output format and the required DPI to calculate the image size in pixels.

You can see my problem here.
It's a sketchup image and an alpha image from Vray.
I try to change the focal but... Same thing

If we can see a sample model we can have a look at your settings.
There should be no problem matching SU and VRay output, but some settings might throw things out. -
fabrice de lyon,
I think you might be working too hard: In Render Options > Output, are you using the "Get view aspect" button? And in Render Options > Camera, are you using the Default Camera or the Physical Camera? From my experience, those are the only two places that can affect whether or not the SU and Vray output line up.

Hello,
for a perfect concordance, the 2 outputs (SU and VRay) might have exactly the same pixels size. I've made a test with standard physical camera and it works well...

Yep, it looks like your aspect ratio is off a little bit. You need to unlock and reset it to match. Sometimes if you move a toolbar or add toolbars it changes your AR and you need to reset it to the correct ratio. Also, there is a current discussion on the V4S forums discussing the resolution your are talking about. 9000 pixels seems like overkill for anything that's not going to be published.
