He's been inactive for the best part of two years ? -
Because someone's name is Gordy they are the same Gordon we are looking for? Gordon is the name of the user on their computer... Don't know if it would be the user on the SCF board. Doesn't ring any bells for me. But, who knows... Could be him.
I did a search on the 17-18 pages on this thread and didn't find any mention of a Gordon.

Rich, I sent all of those guide/experiments to you in a PM. You might want to hit them will spell check. and just use find/replace to change the directory for all the images.

... and what happens when you click on 'continue' ?
The sliders/ivyleaf icons depend on that lib...
That js error is from one of the standard jquery code libraries - it's relating to 'msie'.
What version of Internet Explorer do you have ?
Try updating it... -
Here's the Gordon we were looking for. Thanks to Driven for hunting him down.

But IE11 is current, although IE9 ought to be OK

Ok, since we figured out who Gordon is and I saw his posts contributing to the community, I'm going to assume everything in my folder is up for grabs.
Now don't go installing this unless you know what you're doing. Let Tig, Rich, Oxer and Myself sort them out, clean them up and see how they should fit in. We'll offer them up in a combined pack afterwards.
Here it is.
http://www.sketchup-house-plans.com/Ivy-Leaves-Kris.zip
Here's what it contains.
-
Thanks Kris
Remember to use a SKP as a custom leaf you must name it 'ivyleaf_XXXXX.skp' and put it in the ..Plugins//LiveIvy/Textures subfolder.
The 'XXXXX' can be any text you want [e.g. 'Kris'] - I recommend using something logical - although you will see a thumbnail to click on !I also recommend that you consider editing the SKPs to 'hide' some outer edges etc, which will improve the appearance of the 'leaves' etc ...
-
Roger that... I did the 1-10 on the old one but Rich came behind and redid them. So I wanted to touch base with all of you first.
Do you think we should keep the norms and bumps etc? I take it that's for render monkeys.

Have the Ruby Console open as you use it.
Any errors ?
What doesn't function properly ?
Unless you tell us how can we help !
Once the dialog opens set the desired parameters, settings, leaf type[s] etc: then left-mouse click near the base of a wall face to start, keep clicking to add more branches, hold Ctrl [Cmd?] and click to add leaves, use Alt [Opt] and click to grow towards the cursor; hold Shift and click to make the ivy... -

The plant doesn't create itself to the click of the mouse.
No error in the Ruby console.... -
Normally, most people will see a very small pink line, not real geometry, but a placeholder for a line. Do you not see that either?

Can you try a clean reinstall of the tool, to be sure there are no legacy files.
Open the Plugins folder and delete the LiveIvy.rb file and the entire LiveIvy subfolder.
Now reinstall it from the downloaded RBZ or the SketchUcation PluginStore AutoInstall red-button.
Restart SketchUp and try the tool again.
What happens ?
What is your OS ? PC or MAC ?
Are you holding the modifier keys down while clicking ?
Are you clicking on a wall face ?? -

Are you clicking on a wall face ??I reinstalled several times of course cleanly the plugin.
At the first clic (without modifiers keys) a very small pink line appears but nothing happens to the others click
however before suspecting a bad use....there was a display of a message of mistake of the program...no ?
PC OS : Windows 7 32 bits SP3 - and Sketchup 8 Pro.
