[Plugin] [$] Artisan (1.2.3) - Feb 28, 2014

knife tool could draw faces at the intersection! [ of such an option ]
-
@pbacot:
Your second item I have also seen. It may have something to do with the tool's focus and sometimes cannot find the face normal?--especially in a busy area. Sometimes zooming in and adjusting the radius has helped me. I have occasionally used -BTM's Sculpt in conjunction with Artisan while in Sketchup v7. I don't know how that one will perform in v8.On your first item, does this have anything to do with the Crease Tool?
-
Thanks for the note, Tim. Never tried Sculpt. I see no pattern to my issues, but I think my new computer's speed is helping. Still they seem pretty common and troublesome--such as the loss of selections in the middle of operations.
I have a lot of thoughts for Artisan for shaping terrain, but meanwhile it is still a fantastic and cool tool. And that's just talking about the sculpt side. The SDS side is also mind-boggling.

My one wish for Artisan is that it kept UV coordinates when subdividing and sculpting.
Thomthoms Quads perhaps? -

Subdividing...yes - is this not working for you? -
Hi
Im working alot more from home so using my Laptop
-ASUS G74
-i7 CPU @2.00Ghz
-8 GB RAM
-Win7 64bit
SU8 Pro
Im having problems with using this pluggin. I draw a simple rectangle, select the rectangle, select Subdivide selection, which divides the rectangle. I again select subdivide selection and I get a bug splat. I have tried this 10 times with the same result every time. Ive uninstalled the Artisan and re installed it, but still with the same result. This problem does not happen on my work computer. Do I need to delete all pluggins and slowly reinstall to see if there is a conflict? -
Hi, holmes:
Can this be anything to do with the "physical" size of the rectangle? or scale? Just asking. I don't know if that is relevant. -

BINGO
You are so right. I turn off Vray4SU 1.6 beta and it works fine. Thanks so much. Im gona post this in the beta forum. -
The vRay plugin is notorious for causing conflicts in other plugins.
-
There seems to be a problem with this plugin and the new SU2014, any ideas how to solve it?
-
Carsten, it works fine for me. Make sure you've got the current version and didn't just move an old version over from an earlier SU version.

Strange, I reloaded the installer from Artisan's site, installed and same error occurs. Win7 X64
-
Win7 X64 here, too. It works as advertised.
Did you try copying your previously installed version over first? Maybe you need to make sure the Plugins folder is cleared out first. Are you installing it under Users/...AppData/...Plugins?

I've installed a new version from the extension warehouse and this one is working! (Seems that it's different from the one on the artisan4sketchup website.)

PluginStore version updated to 1.2.3 SU2014 compatible

I removed the previously installed artisan_loader.rb and artisan folder. Installed in user/appdata/...etc/plugins (See image)
edit: removed image because now it works thanks to Cotty (see next post).
