OS X Rhino 5 - beta now available

The first Work In Progress (WIP) build of Rhinoceros version 5 is now available. This version is up to date with the Windows V5 Work In Progress and contains all the changes in the Windows version as of 2010-12-07. There are new Windows WIP releases every week and an updated Mac Rhino WIP will be released shortly after each Windows release. You can download the Wenatchee 5 2010-12-08 build here.
The Mac V5 Rhino version supports 64-bit Intel, 32-bit Intel, and 32-bit PowerPC architectures. This Mac version will automatically run in 64-bit mode on Core 2 Duo Intel processors or later, so running out of memory should no longer be a problem. It requires OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or later.
Mac V5 Rhino also has all the improvements that are part of Windows V5 Rhino, such as:
better stability
many command enhancements
faster drawing speeds
display enhancements
new commands
new editing tools such as gumball
We will continue to provide a Mac V4 Rhino version for a period of time. However, all further development will be done in the Mac V5 version. The V4 version will be available in case there are problems with the V5 version that prevent testers from using the V5 version. -

I tell you, Rhino is the AutoCAD killer for the Mac. It's so much faster than ACAD Mac. Thanks for the info Jeff.

I was telling You - when You compare 30MB lighting faster Rhino with 1GB memory hog, slow and buggy AutoCAD...And v5 has improved their render a lot. And You gonna love Rhino layers - You can have sub-layers and sub-sub-layers - it is real tree structure. You can hide objects per layout viewport - not just by layers. And speaking of the pure 2 drawing capabilities - Rhino has much more drawing tools compared to AutoCAD. Not to mention the huge import-export file formats - truly open system, not like AutoCAD where they expect everybody to use only dwg format!
