I opened my version 7 and clicked for updates and it still shows V7 is the latest. 
Suprise party announcement from Google later today?? Or a mistake??

I installed 8 Pro eval on my laptop..
I think they've fixed the toolbars......!

go to the link and download. didn't show up in my 'check for updates' either.
should say 8 pro when you open the installer. -

It's more like 7.2 release!

Have to admit I'm a little disappointed. Especially with Layout. They could do so much more with this program. As far as I can tell, they've added "angled dimensions" and "dwg/dxf export". It seems like the biggest advancement is being able to get stuff OUT of Layout and into another program with more functionality. Sigh, somebody please tell me i'm missing something.
Sketchup looks okay: -solid tools, save toolbar locations, view back edges option.
Problem is, people are paying to get Layout and my question right now is, why?

With no X64 or major improvements, shouldn't this be version 7.2?

It still shows as V7.1 on the download page, but if you download and open - you see it it really V8!
