Hi I have downloaded the plugin but it couldn't be use, can someone please help me?
@Albert
Have you actually 'installed' it correctly?
Did you also install the supporting Lib as explained on the tool's download page [first in this thread]?
When you unzip the ZIP version got from this thread did you ensure the installation was as explained - keeping all files that are archived in subfolders inside those etc?
Do you have FULL read/write Properties/Security/Edit permissions to the Plugins folder ?
Because you have SUp v8 there should be a Preferences > Extensions > Install archive... button that auto-installs tools from their RBZ format archives - you can download that RBZ version of most tools from the SCF PluginStore, which accessed from the Resources menu above... You could also install the 'SketchUcation Plugin Store' toolset [linked in that menu too] - that lets you AutoInstall plugins from a toolbar from within SketchUp itself - as well as easy use of custom plugins folders and many other useful extension/plugin management tools [the impending update even has a new ZIP/RBZ installer option].
If it loads what problems are you having with it ? -
Fredo6,
Hello. Thank you for all your work. I wonder, though, if "Curviloft" is available for SketchUp 2013 (I tried, and failed). In fact, none of your plugins seem to be available for 2013. I am wondering if that will change anytime soon? 2013 seems to me to be a significant upgrade over v.8, or at least it appears that way to me, anyways.
But I know which movie screens to go see certain movies on -- IMAX, of course, but if not there then screen #3 or #4 at the other movie theatre in town if it is a 3D movie, or screen #1 or #17 if it's not. Went to visit my mother one time and saw a movie, but just at the "local" theatre. There was a great stadium seating, IMAX one about 40 min. up the highway, but she couldn't imagine why I would want to go to that one. It drove me nuts.
That's kind of how I feel about the difference between Sketchup Pro 8 and SketchUp 2013.
So I hope that your "Curviloft" tool will be available on 2013 soon.

Thanks! Just got around to it today. Appreciate all the work you put in with SketchUp!

Hi, I work with "curviloft" and "round corner" plugins every day in my office, using sketchup 8. Yesterday, in my office, I tried to install these both plugins and it worked normally after Sketchup 2013 was installed. But today, I tried to install these plugins with Sketchup 2013 in my personal computer and it simply doesn't work! It appears a messsage on the screen saying "Module Curviloft requires Sketchup version greather than 6, Current version is 13.0.3689" So, why does it work normally yesterday in my computer's office, and it doesn't work in my personal computer? What should I do?

Just upgrade to the latest versions of the scripts (in particular LibFredo6 5.2).
Indeed, it is strongly recommended you install first the Plugin Store tool and then autoinstall my plugins with the tool.Fredo

Hi. I use Curviloft 1.2 d. It works good, but I see the error every time, when I start work in my ScetchUp 8.
Error Loading File bootstrap_Curviloft.rb
uninitialized constant Curviloft::T6Error Loading File CurviloftAlgo.rb
uninitialized constant Curviloft::T6Error Loading File CurviloftCurveMover.rb
uninitialized constant Curviloft::T6Error Loading File CurviloftPalette.rb
uninitialized constant Curviloft::T6Error Loading File CurviloftTool.rb
uninitialized constant Curviloft::T6How can I improve this?
Thank You. -
You seem to have a wrong instalation of LibFredo6.
Please check the posts and respect the footprint, or better, install the SCF Plugin Store and then autoinstall the scripts with it.

Not sure if this is expected behavior but i fired up Sketchup earlier, it told me there were updates for a couple plugins (libfredo, curviloft, round corners, ...) , i used Sketchucation Plugin Store inside Sketchup to update the plugins and now Curviloft shows a progress bar in the middle of my screen whenever i use it, and it stays there until i submit, which is very annoying. Is it supposed to be like that now ?

There may be a bug.
Could you open the Ruby Console before launching and check if there are messages. Thanks

great plugin fredo...thanks..
but i have a problem. why it works in SU8 but it always crash in SU7 ?

Awesome plugin! You know what I am thinking. I'll draw lines on my friends face, take a snapshot, using the snapshot as reference draw the lines in sketchup, then curviloft it

Thank You.Be sure to extract the folder CURVILOFT_Dir_12 into the plugins folder. I extracted the *.rb files straight into plugins at first and got the same errors.

I just install curviloft plug in and I cant see in my sketchup window. Any comments please? im a newbie here. Thank you admin ...

I am testing a lofting workflow on simple geometry and Sketchup keeps crashing when trying to loft simple lines.
The process is this:
Draw a line
copy 4 times some distance
move 3 lines vertically up some to distance
select each line in sequence left to right
run curviloftThe tool activates then hangs sketchup. If I loft arcs or other shapes it seems to work fine.
I am using Sketchup 8 and Sketchup2013 on OSX 10.8.5. Both seem to be affected.
Thanks,
Mike

As cotty says, more information would be useful. I expect you've not installed it correctly and/or you didn't bother to install the required LibFredo6 files.
