Given Name: Philip After my mothers brother

      What I go by: Phil

Office Mates in New York: Thrill as in "Phil the Thrill" Err I was in New York and like to partake in some refreshments

When in Trouble Mom would add my middle name "Philip Jay" but only after putting several of my brothers names first since I was the youngest of ten.

Golf Buddies: "Philly" as in the Cheesestake from the east coast city. Depending on the quality of any particular drive it could be a positive "Philleeeee" with a smile and an ataboy attitude or if the drive is a stinker and ends up in the woods its a "Phileeeee" as in there are no words to describe what I just saw so I'll just say your nickname in a drawn out an better luck next time manner.

My favorite: My Mom used to just call me flip

        Hmmm..
I had totally unrelated nicknames, in fact I can tell the era someone comes from by what nickname they use.

        My real name is Dale
Early teens till about 20 yrs old "Spring" (Centre in basketball)
20 to mid Twenties "Basil" (Vegetarian Stage I guess I can't really remember why)
from then to early 30's "Baz" (rhymes with Phase)
From early thirties to the antique that I look at in the mirror today... back to Dale

My dad used to say " You can call me anything, just don't call me late for dinner"

        Just monkeying around....like Monsanto

Jeffrey until I was old enough to not want to be called that anymore, probably 12 or so. In high school, my friends called me "Wags" due to my last name - which is funny, because my Dad's friend used to call him the same thing when he was in school and the service... Jefe occasionally when I was in California, for no good reason. My favorite was "yeffrrie" (gotta add the German pronunciation) that my German half of the family would call me (and still do). Otherwise, it's just "Jeff".

Dean with Edward as my middle name. Not too many nicknames you would think but..
Deanie - only by my grandmother when I was mostly little, a few of my aunts still refer to me that way.
Deanie Beanie by one of my older sisters......wadda ya gonna do
junior by some when I was younger (I am a II, and have a son that is a III)
Dino is one some friends, and my old boss use on occasion
Eddie in my teens / early 20's (Iron Maiden fan)
Too many other 4 letter combinations to mention by co-workers and the like πŸ˜‰

My dad told me once that it isn't important what people call you, except for three females in you life.
1- what your mother calls you
2- what you wife calls you
3- whatever that wonderfull young lady that captures you heart between 1 and 2 calls you!

My name in Irish is Diarmaid - which means "freeman" or "without envy" but in N. Ireland when I was growing up it was not a good idea to promote your "Irishness" to the occupying forces of the British army!!! They could stop you for a few hours at a roadside checkpoint. Thankfully thats all finished with now but the english version Dermot has stuck. Some of my mates call me Dermy, my wife calls me Dermot, and my mother calls me to complain that I never call her anymore!!!

When you burn your arse - you gotta sit on the blisters!!

My family and most my Norwegian friends call me Thomas.
My English friends call me either Thom or TT. (Thom by class colleagues and TT by my housemates because we where three Thomas' in my house.) Sometimes TT gets shortened to just T.
"Cookiemonster" and "Mad Norwegian" has also been mentioned on occasions... πŸ˜’

I had a German housemate which has a couple of friends for Germany visiting. The German guest pronounced TT as "Titty". x_X πŸ˜†
