[Plugin Library] LibFredo6 - v15.9a - 25 Mar 26

Don't know why, but this version just won't work, same error encountered by @mgfranz =\ Only difference is that I'm using SU2017.
I had to uninstall and reinstall an older version (8.0c, which is the only one not too old I could find).
Would anybody provide a link with the 8.1c ~ 8.1f versions so I can run a few tests?Thx!

Have you installed or repaired your SketchUp by selecting the installer exe file's icon, and
right-click > Run as administrator ? -

right-click > Run as administrator ?Yes, I uninstalled and deleted every folder from SU2017, then reinstalled as admin (which I know I already did in the first time), but the problem persisted. So far, the only solution I found was using the 8.0c and pray the next release works for me

Well, I believe I have some insight into the problems I have been having with loading .rbe files. Unfortunately my hard drive boot sector failed horribly, so I was forced to replace the disk in my laptop. With a fresh install of Windows 10 including all updates, I installed nothing to the system except SU 2016 as Administrator. I downloaded the latest version of Fredo6, Animator, RoundCorner and installed them using Windows>Preferences, restarted SU and all plug-ins loaded perfectly. So there was something seriously wrong with my system somewhere. In the process of reinstalling all necessary programs and will be restarting SU after each install to verify that nothing screws up SU.

Hello and thank you for your work.
recently, no more of your plugin works. the tools appear but have no effect.
I updated, uninstalled and reinstalled libfredo6, but it still does not work.
I downloaded other plugin not coming from you and they work perfectly.
I tested on SU 2016 and 2017.
if anyone has a solution I am interested.thank you

Could you open the Ruby console and see if there are error messages when you launch a plugin.

The error relates to permissions for writing to a data file:
C:/Users/olf/AppData/Local/LIBFREDO6_DATA_Dir/LibFredo6_all_defaults.datTo me this suggests that you might have installed SketchUp incorrectly.
For the avoidance of doubt here is the only proper way [you probably don't need to uninstall and reinstall...]
Close SketchUp.
Whilst logged in as your normal user-account [olf ?], find the v2017 SketchUp installer exe file.
It's probably in your Downloads folder ?
Select its icon, right-click > context-menu > "Run as administrator"
When offered the option choose 'Repair' [on a new installation choose 'Install'].When it completes retry.
If the error persists then the permissions are still awry, so try deleting the folder:
C:/Users/olf/AppData/Local/LIBFREDO6_DATA_Dir/
When SketchUp next loads it should remake the folders and files - hopefully, this time with proper permissions ? -
the first solution did not work. but as soon as I removed the folder LIBFREDO6_DATA_Dir I found the functionality of all your plugin.

NEW RELEASE: LibFredo6 v8.4d - 21 May 18
LibFredo6 8.4d fixes a bug in the periodic popup for Check For Update. So the errors happens by default every 15 days.
By the way, the new popup has changed, replacing the old single Ruby picture window.
