Can you display your environment by using menu Window > LibFredo6 Settings > Fredo6 Plugin Informtion for Sketchucation Support.

This will open the Ruby Conole and display the state of your environment. Just send it to me or post it here.

There seems to be an issue in your setup anyway. I don't think this is related to a particular plugin.

For the error you indicate:

This concerns FredoTools::SolidVolume, not FredoSpline
The error message is missing (this is the very first line, before the backtrace), so I don't know what it is about.

Here is the plugin information from there. I'm not sure what is happening. I did a clean install and then used the sketchucation store to reinstall your plugins.

Please describe accurately what does not work. Otherwise, it is difficult to help. Possibly, open the Ruby console before launching the plugin to catch potential errors.

Which plugin, and for which version of Sketchup.
In general, the version of LibFredo6 indicated is just the minimum version required. The latest version should also work.

Hi Fredo,

I was never able to resolve this.. I've resorted to trying to figure out how I can upgrade my sketchup and retain use of the main plugin I use (Twilight Render 2). This company and website no longer exist.

I found a version of twilight for sketchup 2024 on the way back machine. I can get it installed and working but the licenses I purchased for the Pro features & add ons won't activate, assuming it's tied to my old install of windows.

Anyway you could help me? Do you have any ideas or a direction you could point me in to help me activate this?

Hi,

I'm still having the issue of"ArgumentError (invalid byte sequence in UTF-8)"

I want to clarify that my Windows computer name has no non-roman characters. At first I thought it was related to the system language being set in both English and Thai . But the problem is still there when I'm using English only system.

I still don't have a rational explanation for this bug which a few users have from time to time.

Did you touch or manipulate manually the plugin files, in particular the files with .plugin extension?

Can you try with LibFredo6 v15.4e, just released.

If you are using Fredo's extensions you also need to install the SketchUcation Toolset which manages the licensing, and LibFredo.
If you have the Toolset install you can browse and auto-install these extension/lib files without having to get an RBZ file etc.
To install the Toolset download its RBZ from this link...

The use the Extensions > Extension Manager dialog to install it for you. Restart SketchUp to sync everything...

j essaie d'intaller fredo scale sur mon sketchup 2024 mais en vain, j ai bien le pushpull etc.. mais impossible d'installer le fredo scale ou tools. j ai eu le fredo scale dans le passé mais maintenant lorsque je l'installe , pas de messages mais apparait bien dans mon gestionnaire d'extensions mais pas dans les icones ou barre de menu, pourriez vous m'aider à ce sujet? merci ! belle journée

I'm trying to install Fredo Scale on my SketchUp 2024 but in vain. I have PushPull etc. but I can't install Fredo Scale or Tools. I had Fredo Scale in the past but now when I install it, no messages but it appears in my extension manager but not in the icons or menu bar. Could you help me with this? Thank you! Have a nice day.
