I start a series of 3D jobs on my theme of this summer, namely the Lore (world) of Warhammer 40,000.
To put it simply, Warhammer is an extremely rich and dark world ... and constantly at war. We find almost the same basic breeds as in heroic fantasy (humans, elves, dwarfs, orcas) but with a lot of differences anyway and oriented Dark SF. The official term being Grimdark it seems to me.

I'm going to start with a Troubadour elf, an Arlequin Eldar. To make quick, the Arlequin Eldars are artists who have tried to prevent their contemporaries from the dangers of corruption of society. This corruption having had the consequence that the soul of each Eldar is now claimed from his death by a god of chaos whose name I forgot.

Eldars are now genres of corsairs, morally in a gray area.

My character will have a Gun, a Dagger, a Helm and a Court/Troubadour coat. And his instrument will be a kind of portable harpsichord.

          @Mike-Amos thanks a lot Mike 👍 😊

          🕷️ Latest 3D work:
A Harlequin Eldar from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, standing triumphantly on the skull of a Tyranid.
He’s accompanied by his loyal gyrinx — that’s what cats are called in this world. This scene references a famous battle between Harlequins and Hive Fleet Hydra.

The flowers are actually holograms meant to distract the enemy by constantly moving around the character.
He holds his pistol in a lazy, mocking gesture — showing disdain toward the fallen Tyranid.
His lyre isn’t just an instrument — it’s also a weapon. Floating daggers circle him, ready to strike in close combat or be thrown.

Shoes, flowers, and the gyrinx are downloaded assets.
Everything else was modeled using ZBrush, Nomad, SketchUp, Blender, and Filter Forge.

@Mike Amos smile my friend, smile

"Misericida", a concept of a character in the Wathammer universe.

The initial idea came from the medieval dagger called "mercy", used on the battlefield to finish off the dying with a final gesture. I imagined a half-machine, half-human figure, whose function would be to roam the imperial battlefields after the end of the fighting, to bring death to the irreversibly wounded — not out of cruelty, but as an ultimate form of piety.

Misericida is equipped with a nail gun, a rocket used as a mace, robotic arms similar to those of the Space Marines, and moves on a tank track. His face is obscured by a gas mask, and above his head is a ritual box containing a fake horned child"s head that recites prayers to the dying over and over again. His coat is made of thick black rubber, with red specular reflections — an aesthetic that is both industrial and liturgical.
The codex sheet was written with the help of ChatGPT, which also helped me to specify the universe, the Latin name Misericida ("she who kills out of mercy") as well as the liturgical, technical and doctrinal elements of the character.
              MISERICIDA
              Class: Executrix post-bellica
Affiliation: Imperium – Ordo Sanctionum / Officio Medicae Obscura
              Status: Semi-Cybernetic – Exempta Excommunicatis / Certified Post-Vitae
Common name: "The Merciful" (name I had originally proposed, Misericida was proposed among others by the AI) JPH
              Tactical role
"War leaves only two options: salvation or silence. I am the second. The second silence preceding the end"
Misericida is a unit of ritual execution operating exclusively after major engagements. Its function is to travel the Imperial battlefields, identifying wounded deemed unsalvageable, whether human, transhuman, or enslaved machines. She freed them by liturgical euthanasia, an act recorded as extremis benedictio in the archives of the Munitorum.
It does not belong to any regiment but can be temporarily detached to any loyalist force under the direct direction of the Medicae Majoris, a Chaplain or an Inquisitor.
              Standardized Equipment
              Sancti-Crux Pistol
→ Model of heavy nail gun, designed for quick delivery, even through ceramites.
              Penitentia Rocket
→ An old defused warhead, mounted on a stick. Serves as a blunt mass or final pile. The fins are filed in a double cross.
Ventral prayer box (Vox Infantus model)
→ Implanted voice broadcasting device, surmounted by a horned child"s false head. Recites over and over again Litany to the Dying, taken from the Liber Vita Terminalis.
Gas mask with double serosanctification filter
→ Protects from miasma, but also symbolizes the refusal of the vital breath.
              Articulated robotic arms (Astartes sub-level)
→ Stabilized force for precise execution. Built-in medical sensors.
              Magos-RXVII tracked base
→ Lower trunk replaced with a light tank tracked movement module, silent on soft ground.
Ritual trench coat – black or cardinal red
→ No decoration, fireproof fabric, belted at the waist. Works as a processional chasuble.
              Doctrine
"Better a holy death than an impure survival."
"It does not kill — it absolves by fire, iron, or prayer."
              The extinguishing process includes:
              Vital Scan
              Final Request
              Blessing
              Puncture or percussion
              Extinction encoding
              Faction compatibility:
Imperial: Imperial Guard, Sisters of Battle, Inquisition
Possible use by the Adeptus Mechanicus (under ethical bond)
Forbidden to Space Marines unless authorized by Chaplain

Here is a new necron character that I started to develop recently:
A falcon head archer, directly inspired by an Egyptian divinity, Montou, God warrior archer with falcon. .

The project was born from my desire to create an original necron character. It is an IA error in an image generated for a jetpack that has truly launched the reflection around its bow. He appeared in a strange, almost unrealistic form, and I chose to reinterpret him manually to imagine how he could work concretely in the Warhammer 40K universe.

I will share here the different IA proposals which allowed me to explore the visual elements: armor, arc, accessories, etc.
His familiar, a meca-ritual crocodile, will be posted tomorrow.

This project was carried out with:
                Sketchup, nomad, zbrush, blender
And made possible thanks to many discussions with an AI, which helped me refine my initial ideas.

                    Moi ça me scie! 😎

Pilou, thanks to select one or two pictures maximum when you post something on my thread.

                          AI text
New piece for my Warhammer 40K Primarch Sniper project.

This is Horizon, the weapon of choice of the Primarch of the Pupula Duplex faction.

It is a monumental crossbow capable of teleporting blades through the Warp. Once launched, the sword follows no logical trajectory: it can strike from any side of the target, making any defense useless.

Last image: I placed a sword above the weapon for clarity, but in reality it is stored inside the mechanism.

A mix of technology, esotericism, and brutality at the service of a sniper Primarch.

First image generated by AI from an uploaded 3D render.

Thanks Rich O Brien ! Yes I really enjoy the sketchup viewport too. So esthetic.

Here are the final renders of my concept Primarch (a very important general ) in the lore of warhammer 40k. the beauty shots are made via IA Sora , I uploaded a render in sora and chatgpt. then I asked chatgpt to write a prompt explaining what I want.

He is the Primarch of the Pupula Duplex — born from a genetic anomaly where a single eye holds two irises and two pupils.
Far from the battlefield, he remained motionless, guided by his occulus tracing the enemy’s coordinates.
The Pegasus locked the weapon: a sword strapped into the giant crossbow Horizon.

The projectile did not cross the air. It crossed the Warp.
Inside the heart of a Tyranid ship, the sword appeared, impaling its general within his own command chamber.

His crabs stood guard, shielding him during those suspended seconds where a single breath could undo everything.
But the calculation was flawless. The silence of his strike toppled the roar of war.

(The AI-generated images are not 100% faithful to the model, but they capture the scene with an impressive visual impact.)

Here is my character's sword-bearer: a hyper-designed Pegasus, made up of nanorobots.
It has no visible mechanics: its metal body deforms and moves as if it were organic, fluid, almost alive.
On its back, the swords form the feathers of its wings, ready to be released.
A mix of majesty, technology and strangeness, designed as an extension of the arsenal of the Primarch sniper of the Pupula Duplex faction.

The crab. "This is a small autonomous defense drone, equipped with a laser lens on its upper part. About twenty of these drones accompany the main character. They move freely on his armor and position themselves where their presence is most optimal, in order to ensure close protection through short-range fire (about 20 m). First image, created by AI: set in a sci-fi assembly workshop, where automated tools work on the drone, welding and adjusting parts like in a futuristic precision assembly line."

This is Occulus, a stealthy reconnaissance drone created for the Primarch sniper of the Pupula Duplex faction .
This legion is composed only of snipers capable of striking several dozen kilometers away.
Occulus flies high in the sky, almost invisible, to scan the battlefield and identify his master's next target.

                                    @Mike Amos Primarks deserve epicness

                                    @Bryan K thanks a lot !

This cabinet was born from a visit to Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen (first image). I designed a very personal interpretation, modeled with SketchUp, ZBrush, Nomad (iPad), and FilterForge.
The bottles on the sideboards, the vase of roses, the red telephone, and the mannequin are from downloaded models.
The second image is from a 3D rendering, then staged using AI.
I chose a minimalist setting, as Sora easily gets lost when too many elements are requested.
