Hi all, my background is Industrial Design and LOVE ❗ all things audio. Strangely I have never posted iny Industrial design renders. I have just designed and rendered this "radiogram" with existing components from a high end Audio conpany and repackaged them in a "radiogram" I can not show the whole thing as it contains a logo of the company featuring largely. I have no idea of the legalities of showing the entire thing as it may contravenes some sort of copywright law. But the image is just a hint, and I kind of like the framing though.

Modelled in SU and rendered in TM

I should know better, I did NOT

        Debure the LED holes
        Arris the aluminium facia

I made the bevel in the volume knob a different material as it looked like it was deleted or transparent so I made it less reflective and modified DOF. I think it is a better render now.

The difference a bevel makes is what sells the 2nd output.

What's missing is some subtle smudges to impact the unformity of the roughness. That would push it into very realistic territory. Overall its a handsome result.

I totally understand what you are saying and do not disagree. I did this as a "brochure" shot it is interesting that we now put in perfections in our images that if it were a camera shot any imperfections would be removed in photoshop πŸ˜‰

...sehr sehr gut! - I love the crispness of the captions(?or is this named text) shown - did you use 3D text or PNGs for this?

Nice, I concur with the bevel point, it works better that way.

As for the imperfections, no right or wrong way and as you say, with the brochure style, they would insist on removal. If we all of us met our pin-up, actress or singer in the flesh the appeal would be a lot lower than the illusion. Kylie Minogue, damn you photoshop.............
