      G'day folks.

This is the latest piece of artwork from my very talented but humble ex. Sara has been living with MS for more than thirty years and has to use a hoist to get anywhere which is undignified and frightening. She cannot use her left (Dominant) hand now but over the last two years has taught herself to paint with her right hand.
I am proud as punch of her. I ask that if anyone is moved to say something by way of comment and is happy to do so, I can pass on crique so she can continue to learn for as long as possible.
      Thanks folks.

Without knowing the personal details of the artist it's a fabulous piece.

Knowing she is battling a disabling disease and forced to use her non-dominant hand it's hard to even grasp.

I'm also in no position to critique as I can't draw and never did art. One thing is certain - she's a force of nature. Thanks for sharing this!

Mike, this is great and also her efforts to battle the limitation is respectful, she is a real hero.
I may share a tip that will help her art a great leap forward.
This is all about working in several layers. the first layer could be just the volume, without texture (feathers) Slightly with a higher contrast. Then on the second layer she may add details such as feathers etc.
This will result preventing seeing the bare board and makes a sense of unity to the painting.

Thanks folks, you made Sara a happier bunny than she has been lately and I appreciate this more than I can say.

Majid, kind of you, Sir. I shall ask but she does not exactly believe in herself as being worthy or able which in my humble opinion is tosh but then not many Dyslexic people from her school have a degree so what does she know. Trying to find a way to get her to listen would be a start but she is slowly learning that she is not so useless as she believes.

Any help would be very gratefully passed on.

                It is a privelege folks.

                👊

She really does have very good talent.

                  She is way above amateur.

Challenged or not that is an amazing painting. I connot remember if I have seen a painting with depth of field before 😲 Does anybody else see DOF in that image? The lady can paint.

I see it mate, I hope she can go on getting a nense of achievement. She is not ambulatory and has a hoist for getting places, very dehumanising but she is a tough cookie mentally. All I can do is support her where I can, from a distance.
The comments and kindness here have brought many a smile to her chops already. You have all done a lot to make her a happier person and I value that immensely. Thanks folks.
