Tool sandbox dialogue box inoperable 2017

In 2017 the tool dialogue box does not pop up when you hover over any of the sandbox tools that names the tool and explain its function, as normally happens with any other tool.

It works just like any other toolbar.
The usage tooltip etc appears on hover.I suspect you have not installed SketchUp properly.
If you Run the installer exe or double-click its icon SketchUp can appear to be installed OK but various weirdness can appear - just as you describe.
Having admin-powers is not enough to ensure a good outcome...The only correct way to install it is to close SketchUp and then find its installer's exe file [probably in your Downloads folder ?] and select its icon.
Right-click > Context-menu > Run as administratorWhen prompted choose 'Repair'.
This should fix the various random foibles that an incorrect installation can throw up.

Sandbox Tools exhibits this behavior for me also at times.
When I first launch SketchUp without the toolbar shown I then add Sandbox Tools I get the tool tips. Then if I dock they will vanish.
They can also continue to show during a session. But other times they will disappear.

Thanks guys, mine has started working again. Considering all the other "tool tips" (Thanks Rich) work I would call that a "Bug":)
