Thanks will check up on those bitmaps...also i think the problem was in some components downloaded from the sketch up warehouse. Once i deleted these, sketch up was rendering perfectly...(well a little slow but rendering nevertheless).

Hey, just had the same problem with the import of the VISMAT material collection.

when you encounter an error log, just go to - plugins - vray - render - clear the list of materials. and start your process again. sometimes i just search the warehouse for materials added to some furniture and extract it and use it th "colors in model" panel of the materials. safe and works without crashing because the information is always saved in the material editor of vray.

        hope it helps

Tino, you cannot insert or link to a file on your computer. You need to upload it as an attachment - see the attachment tab under the post text area you are writing your post.

Hi all, I just tried to use vismat in rendering, although I can now see the new material in rendering, but in the model , it is still the older material lol

Sorry guys, vray.com is not a Chaos Group website. It is a reseller that we are not directly associated with, and they still have a lot of old (bad) materials available on the site. If you are looking for the V-Ray Material collection you can log in and download it from the materials section of http://www.chaosgroup.com. You may also be interested in the website http://www.sketchuptexture.com, they are also not associated with Chaos Group, but it is a very handy resource.

                  I hope this helps!

That vismat may have a "blend" material in the diffuse layer, which means SU can't access the texture to adjust the positioning in the model. Try changing the diffuse layer to Texbitmap and select the image file for your texture.

If that isn't the problem - maybe you can post a screenshot of your vray material settings.

I had a similar experience with Andybot. In addition, all my renderings come out dark as if I changed the settings to night.
                        Please help!

Hi everyone. I have a similar problem to hvanessen. My vismat materials are grey, but look fine in the preview. It's set to a Textbitmap in the Diffuse layer too. How do I solve this. It does this with all my vismats. Im using Sketchup 2016 and Vray
