Here's a bit of fun, a woven chinese finger trap.
Fully solid model. I might see how well it prints later.

Do you have a SketchUp view of the control mesh for that one?

I do, but it's pretty simple. I can add it later, if you really want it, as it's at home and I'm now in the pub.

            UV mapping in Wrap-R?

No, by using quad face tools I easily selected the edges to create the various faces and manually painted them with the old bucket. So the colours are actual geometry.

Would you like to test WrapR?

A bit of a twist on a theme.

To be honest, as I have no real interest in rendering, it's not high on my list, but if you want a non visualiser to have a go with it I'm all for it.

Ok, but I still think it's a bit too simple to be of interest.

Cheers Cotty, it's funny how simple it is when you think it through.
But it's the brilliant tools that make it possible.

Did you use your new plugin (Wrap-R) to map the texture? BTW great model. Thanks.

Just a simple example once again of how working with these tools can make for some really neat meshes.
