[Plugin] TIG-Fracture

TIG,
is it possible to make it a single undo?
john -
Yes.
But This way you can step back, undoing just the explode and then the various splits.
Just find the model.start_operation()...model.commit_operation code and add a leading #
Leave the first start_op and the last commit_ unchanged... -
What about an option to uniformly scale each item about it's center via a picked/inputted value?
-
I like this.
I am wondering if we could get different shapes, not too many long shards. Also is we could control the explode distances in future.

running enroth's erode on each piece adds to the effect of a rock wall...

Here's v3.0 http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=TIG_Fracture
It now has three options to set constraints for the splitting around the XYZ axes, 0 to 1.
The nearer to 0 the 'flatter' the split on that axis.
With all three set to 1 it's entirely random.
Play with their interrelationships to see the effects.
Also now there are three 'Form' options:- Stacked - all parts left in place
- Exploded - all parts from the center
- Scaled - each part by ~90% to leave gaps
If a non-Stacked Form is chosen it is separately undo-able.
All of the Fragmentation is now undo-able in one step.

Excellent....

Another request that if there's materials in the model you can choose which material get assigned to the faces sliced faces?
-
Option for have only boxes ?

cool TIG..this plugin and sketchyPhysics could be a dream team

Here's v4.0 http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=TIG_Fracture It now has slightly different options.
The 'Size' for the two parts is now 0.01 to 0.5 [1 to 50%].
The XYZ axes options are now better described as 'Variance'.
A 'Jitter' option has been added [0 to 1].If an XYZ Variance is set to 0 then the splitting is done parallel to those axes.
The Jitter affects the randomness of the splitting plane.
Any Jitter is ignored if all XYZ Variances are 0. -
Nice!
Any chance of material support?
This is a crazy tool!
