This is beyond silly, when are Trimble going to fix this?

I keep all job related info, reference photos, PDF's etc., inside the one folder, where I also keep the skps, of course.
I can't get at my reference material cos explorer keeps crashing if there is a skp file in there!!!

F***k'n ridiculous, its been a couple of months now and still no fix.

    Please explain Tremble.(sic)

    Unhappy Baz

      Yikes!

Wasn't there a fix by TIG for this?

Something to do with the thumbs.dll?

          Thanks Rich.

I must be lucky. I've never had Windows Explorer crash when displaying the contents of folders containing SKPs. In fact it's open right now on my screen as is SketchUp.

Box wrote this in that post: "It sounds like it could be a graphics card issue.
I remember some time back there was an issue with thumbnails causing explorer crashes.
Try looking for ThumbsUp.dll in the sketchup directory at C:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015 and renaming it to OldThumbsUp.dllx so that it wont be recognised and see if that fixes the problem. You might need to reboot.
If it doesn't work change the name back before you forget."

Why do we have to put up with a 'Workaround'?

                  Yes. Win7 64-bit professional.

I wish I could help you. Did you do anything with that DLL file as outlined in Rich's link?

I think the problem is Baz, it only affects a small number of users with a specific setup. So pinning down what is actually causing it and working out a fix is taking time.
There have been discussions on the official forum about it but as yet no solution.
Personally I would suggest that complaining over there where they actually have some control of the software would be more productive. Nobody here is responsible for it but over there the more people that bring it to their attention the more chance of something happening.

No, if I put the comma before Baz I would have been saying the problem was Baz.
However, I think I need to edit.
