    So I've been using smart labels in SU for a while, mostly to callout sf of slabs, tile walls etc etc. Currently working on an excavation plan and have several volumes that I thought I could use smartlabels to callout the volume... Can't figure out how... All I get is sqft or edge lenght! Is there a way to do it and am I just too shallow to figure it out πŸ˜‰?

    Thx,
    Marc

      It shouldn't matter how shallow or deep your excavation is. πŸ˜„

      You need to make an enclosed volume for the excavation as a component or group. Then open the component or group to apply the label.

          Dave;
          I'm following you, but just like you, all i get is sft and can't get cubic feet with a smart label, even after grouping.

            Same here. The label has the area of the surface you clicked on, even when the current selection is a solid group.

              My apologies. I was distracted with preparing for an anesthesia student when I was doing this. Shouldn't have been multi-tasking. Of course you're right. Didn't TIG do a plugin to report volume?

                You want Tig's Volume Calculator.
