Problems since updating to MacOS Maverick
-
I'm not able to export 3D dxf or dwg files without receiving an error message. Also the export takes a really long time. I have tried a variety of models from very simple to complex. The end use if the exports is to import into Archicad 16. I did import files that were created with the error and they imported, but I was not able to resize them or do anything except move them. Before Mavericks, the export function was fast and accurate.

I normally wait until I hear that Edson (Moderator) has upgraded before I make the move
Hopefully the TSU guys will row in on the thread

I'm asking around the office. We don't have too many people who use a Wacom regularly w/SU though....I'll see what I can find out though.

hi, i tried to import a .dwg file to sketch up and this warning appears instantly: "warning, importer not found".
thanks.
I'm running sketch up pro 8 on Mac osx 10.9, and the .dwg file is 2010. -
That's weird, I use a Wacom Intuos tablet and the only problem I've had with it, SketchUp or otherwise, is my cat Harry chewing through the cable...

If you haven't updated your driver in the past month, I would. It looks like they did a bunch of updates on Oct 15th that include 10.9. Then repair permissions, and restart.

The same happens to me, can't import dwg. (importer not found) and the palettes don't work as expected when you collapse them. Can somebody please help?
thank you !! -
The palettes is a known thing (we've fixed in a future version). The importer not found is strange. It worked for me just as it did in Mountain Lion. Perhaps repairing permissions, or confirming that it actually is located at
/Applications/SketchUp 2013/SketchUp.app/Contents/PlugIns
I have 14 plugins in that directory. Do other importers work - e.g. KMZ (Google Earth) would probably be the easiest to test.

Strange, I've found an old model with lots of detail and it orbits smoothly with the Wacom Intuos pro (I've just upgraded) but as soon as I draw a small cube next to it, it stutters again. All other older models stutter and any new ones created. I have all new updated drivers for the tablet, repaired permissions & the disk..? The magic mouse works fine though. I have a 2011 macbook pro 15, this never happened before Mavericks. Any other suggestions...? Reinstall Sketchup perhaps..?

hi
I have Sketchup 8 Pro installed on my mac.
Another day, I had installed the Skechtup 8 free version to another suรกrio (my son) in the same mac. Because I think there license limitation for different accounts on the same Mac.
The next day, I was surprised to using Sketchup Pro mac from my account was overridden by the free version.
Reinstalled the pro version, and now get this error message when trying to import a dwg file.
"warning, importer not found".I'm running sketch up pro 8 on Mac osx 10.9 Mavericks, and the .dwg file is 2000.
What can I do?

I have purchased a new Macbook pro with Mavericks and have noticed my Sketchup 2013 pro stuttering with my Wacom tablet (intuos pro) although I also experienced problems with my old one when I tried it as I thought it may be the new tablet. There is no stuttering when I orbit using the trackpad but it is making it very difficult to navigate the model. I have upgraded to 10.9.1, used all the latest drivers etc... Any help or advicewould be much appreciated.
thanks

Orbiting models still stuttering while using the wacom pro, smooth orbiting using magic mouse, three button mouse & trackpad. But if I TURN ON shadows, orbiting with wacom becomes smooth....? I would have thought it to be the other way around. Turning off shadows, back to stuttering, very strange behaviour.
Also some models I have worked on recently start to orbit smoothly as they get more complicated or I turn on transparency, but only sometimes, very strange.
I hope they fix this along with the window panels not sticking together in the next update. -
Hi
I get the "importer not found" message as well. I have Sketchup Pro 8 and I'm running Mavericks 10.9 on a MacBook Pro.
I've checked the plugins where you indicated and only find 11 plugins. They do not include importer for Autocad or dwg files and there is no KMZ importer either. Please help. I'm not an IT savvy guy.
Cheers
