      Hi there,

My question is quite simple. I'm browsing to system preference, going under the file tab, choosing a new location to add my library folder which contain my own textures (a pack of 60 GB), but it doesn't seem to be added when I browse the material library window. Tried also to add a new collection then, directly from the windows library, but when I quit application it doesn't come back and I've also no preview of textures displaying (just like if I had an empty folder in my texture library folders).

Seriously I've always used this technique to add a folder library and now it doesn't work (I'm a new user of SU pro)

As you can see on the img, I've added my collection from the material windows (which I normally doesn't need to do when I setup file location in preference system), and my folder seems to be empty when I browse it.

      Any suggestions?

Cause I'm not going to add one by one my hundred of textures in the library, hell no 😉

So if you click on the Details button in the Materials browser window, you can use Open or Create a collection... to add the library? After that, have you tried clicking on Add collection to favorites...?

          Thanks for replying,

Of course I did it. But my folder looks empty in the library.

And usually I don't need to add from detail button as I'm adding library directly from the preferences. I'm lost a bit.

Some answers I've got told me that I got an empty folder because I've image files (jpgs, pngs etc.) and not .skm files (to show preview).

Anyone know a faster way than to add my textures one by one to the library? I've a 60GB database of jpg...

The Material Browser only list SKM files [as you have discovered].
There are probably several plugins / approaches to help you...

I made some tweaks to re-size the import a folder of images as Materials... or you will almost certainly need to adjust their texture sizes to suit you requirements by hand...

To find materials & plugins folder for Mac users:

                  Find SU2014 folder in Applications
Right-click on SU folder and select "Show View Options"
This directs you to the Contents folder

                  Navigation Path is:

                  /Applications/SketchUp 2014/SketchUp.app/Contents/Resources/Content

Zere are still some architectes zat do not know ow to use ze SketchUp..... Zis is unbelievable....
