I often wonder why Artisan shows a nice (more quad-like) mesh in the preview and it is not possible to choose this mesh instead of the triangulated...

Well, the preview mesh uses openGL to render (which supports non-planar quads) and we all know that SketchUp itself does not allow them.

Nice work as usual, cotty! πŸ‘

There are because the faces are not Quad Faces...

Having them as Quad Faces reduces pole count to 4.

Is it possible to change the geometry so that there is no pole?

Of course but at times poles are inevitable. Just beware poles cause mesh pinching.

In that example you have 6 edges converging to one point at 4 locations.

If you tweak the proxy to lower the pole from 6 edges to 5 you then end up with 8 poles.

Here you can (legally) obtain artisan: http://artisan4sketchup.com/

Else, if your post refers to some other (illegal) source of the plugin, be warned that SketchUcation does not tolerate piracy. For the time being, I hope it's only a language misapprehension

                                Hi charly:
See dialogue on previous page at Friday, August 23 in this thread. Notice how cotty predefined the lines on the baby rattle, also.

                                  Hi, charly.
See if this helps. I did not use other plugins. Only Artisan. As stated, delete all internal partitions.

Wow ginchius' models are so convincing! I can imagine just how comfy the sofa is just by looking at the render! Most furniture models looks very static and formal.

very nice. Not so "simple" but a good example if you are looking "where to begin?" on something this complex.
