SU Colors way off on laptop
-
Yeah, here's another weird Hellnbak problem
I had to reinstall SU 8 Pro on my laptop this morning. No big deal, done it before.
But when I open a model there, the colors are way off. Grays are now blue, etc. Everything else on the laptop looks fine, the desktop, any photos I open. Only in SU do the colors look very strange.
To make it even stranger --
I took a screenshot of the same models in both my laptop and my desktop, then transferred the laptop screenshot to my desktop (I was gonna post both of them here to show the difference) and on my desktop they both look exactly the same, just fine.
Any suggestions?

Recalibrate them.
Most likely some type of bloatware that came with the laptop is making it 'vibrant' for video playback or some type of equivalent.
Try running the native calibrate tool. Usually after the first step your screen will reset.

Thanks Rich, but a few questions --
First thing I did when I got this laptop was purge all bloatware, and that was probably over a year ago and I've been using SU on it fine right up until I had to reinstall SU this morning. Plus, everything else looks just fine, photos are all normal, so why would something affect only SU?
Forgot to mention I've uninstalled and reinstalled SU three times in an effort to fix this (using Revo Uninstaller to do a thorough uninstall)
Even installed SU 7 a few minutes ago to see how things looked in it, unfortunately I can't open any of my files with it, says I need to use a newer version.
Saved a model on the laptop and transferred it over to the desktop, and of course it looks fine there.
The way it is now SU 8 is completely unusable.

Crap, how do I tell the computer that I want something opened in SU 8 instead of SU 7? It's been a long time since I had more than one version installed.

Open SU8 from the icon. After it loads you can close it. Then you should be able to open files in SU8 instead of SU7.

Yeah, I seem to remember something about it opening in whatever version you used last. Tried that but it didn't work, so I just uninstalled SU 7, problem solved
