Bonzai3d Version 3 Released
-
Just got an email that Bonzai3d version 3 has been released.
Haven't had time to test out this new version, but I hope to get some time to play around.
Anyone else had time yet?

Is this the ONLY render you can use??
Found it.
Maxwell is the only other external. Correction that is for FormZ only not Bonzai. -

Is it W32 or W64?
Can't find specs. -
Lets just assume that someday all the popular render like thea, vray, maxwell etc. support Bonzai3D.
Is it possible to say which software is more powerful in terms of possibilities?
I have the impression that there were no astonishing improvements from SU8 to SU2013 even though I have to admit that I didnt have the time to test SU2013 properly. But (and I didnt try the demo of B3D) by just looking at some videos I feel that B3D has a huge set of tools that SU still lacks.
I am sure that there will be more options for import export and render. But whats important is what you can achieve with the software in terms of modeling.
Anybody here has experience with both programs and can comment?

There has been a new Maxwell Render Plugin released for Bonzai 3: http://www.formz.com/email/Webinar_6-18-2013/Maxwell_Released_Webinar_6-18-2013.html
As far as modeling power goes, Bonzai beats SketchUp hands down -- but there is no "Layout" equivalent in Bonzai, so if that is something important to you then you would have to move up to form.Z (which has many other advantages, like strong animation tools).
Best,

Here is an interesting post on the formz forum regarding a Thea plugin, be sure to read the 2nd post.
