    Hi,

    I am using Vray 1.49.01 on Su8 Pro, Win7 64bit.

trying to import good components from .obj files using FluidImporter plugin,
but Vray won't render the image if there's an imported .obj models..

and vray wont crash if i do not import the .obj files before.

Do i miss a setting on this case?
the .obj file is aroung 6Mbs

    thx

@pepa yes sir, thx, it works but sometimes it don't, maybe due to its very complex poly.

the sketchup file is 51Mb, and it seems not very effective do this kind of works using sketchup, the viewport becomes very laggy and the vray render frame buffer windows appear after a 5minutes waiting time.. 😲

@mr.ThomThom, i uploaded the 6Mb model sir, i got it free from 'i dont remember blog'
          here is the model: http://www.mediafire.com/?7975kudbfcvab7d

the models is just amazing, but the sofas is kind of artistic sofas not an ordinary shape one.. i'm looking for a simple realistic one, but seems very hard to find it from the warehouse..

btw, i don't know the model original material, the file contain the.mtl file but i dont know how to apply it, or the green wire was the original one?

btw thx for all responses sir 😄

.mtl will not work with this V-Ray. That's a Max format, which I am sure this model was meant for. Now with that said, I have to say that this is the limitation you will hit every time with SketchUp. It just cant handle geometry like this. Try to import the same file in Max and see how it handles. It's just night and day. SketchUp was never meant to be this kind of program. Some rendering engines allow for proxies which puts a low poly placeholder in SketchUp and then renders out the hi-poly version. V-Ray currently does not have this capability but it is in the works for their next release.
