Automatic Update date?

Just wondering if Layout has a function that will allow me to have an date that updates itself every time I open the file.
thanks

Do you mean similar to the way you can set up a header/footer in Word or a cell in Excel to show the current date/time? No. Not at the present time. It would be a nice feature, though.

But... you could perhaps devise a piece of update-able screen-text on a specific layer inside the SKP that displayed 'Time' in whatever format you wanted, whenever the SKP opened.
It would need an 'observer' to set it when the SKP was opened ?Otherwise, 'add date-stamp' on a Layout page is a 'wish-list' item...

5.) Page numbers - and a date field.
I know it has been on the wish-list since v.2, but I really miss this function.6.) Ruby API in Layout.
Back on September 2010 I saw Bjanzen posted this...@bjanzen said:
you could encourage us to do ruby API in LayOut, and that's probably how that and man other features will get implemented.
By that Mr. B was referring to page number and date.
