Arcade Panel Intersecting
-
Hi new member, first post please inform me if i have this in the right topic
I am currently designing a arcade control console.
I wish to use the intersecting tools to connect the to parts of the panel with a piece i will be making out of wood.
Is there a way i can get them to intersect and delete the access.
Below are pictures that will help to explain
Any help would be great

CurviLoft, and a number of other tools, will give a swept transition between the two surfaces.
However, if you want a 'straight intersection' or simply 'a third angular insert solution', then think of it as a 'hipped roof'...
If the two forms do intersect nicely then just two lines added across the gap will make a connecting top face [repeat this for the bottom/sides].
BUT it they are 'skewed' then you need to add a diagonal as well to form two triangular facets.
You can smooth any edges afterwards... -
Are you planning to bend the wood or shape it to make a curved transition from one piece to the other? Or will you have three flat pieces joined together?
If it is the latter, just use the line tool to connect the corners between the center section and the side piece. If upon completion of the loop you don't get a face, the piece can't be made as a flat piece.
