Advanced Camera Tools

Has anyone had success with use the Advanced Camera tools and having VRay render the correct aspect ratio? I thought I saw someone using this toolbar in a SU tutorial on YouTube so I thought, Oh cool, this works with VR? But I just tried it and no worky? What gives?

Hi ValeroStudio, I have better results with V-ray Toys from ThomThom

The one thing about this script, and maybe Thom and help, is the number in the box that tells you the value to put in the camera's zoom property. This doesn't seem to be necessary. If I ignore this value and just click Get Aspect in the Output options, then it seems to match up fine.

The zoom property was only required for VfSU older than the 1.4x.xx series.

As you found out, setting an aspect ratio in SketchUp and matching the VfSU view usually works. (Though I've had issues at some ratios...) But I find it generally best to set an aspect ratio in SU as the scene can then be rendered on any machine and still be matching. Without the different size of the monitor will mess things up. I also found that rendering Photo Matched scenes doesn't work well. But I recreated the scene as a normal scene with the Ruby API and then it would render.
It will be in the update of VfSU Tools 2.0 which I am working on.
