This idea uses just under 10' of 6x2" to make a 'stool' for Csaba !
Glued and screwed together it'd be pretty indestructible...

Those are nice, Dave. I would say the design should be for a portable, two or three piece assembly. Where's the video?

TIG, that still might be a bit lightly built for Csaba. ๐Ÿ˜„

Brooke, I agree with you. I wouldn't use any hardware to join the seat and backrest.

Used to do Medieval recreation for fun, these chairs were popular. The 2 x 12 chair variant was very similar, and quite portable. Here's an example:

Simple model of the picture. Not exactly accurate but it is made from 1 2x12x8 board

Thanks for the model, Jon. Why not post a pic?

Indeed that was easy... I was trying to link to Flickr and the image wasn't loading correctly. Thanks

The image saves lazy guys from DL'ing a model without seeing it. Yours looks nice; maybe a little thin in the scroll back rest members? You've got the important to me interlock for breakdown / portability that the master's original post lacked. Perhaps we'll hear from him.

Are you referring to me as "the master"? Surely you jest. If you are, then, whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis? ๐Ÿ˜†

Mine has that interlock you are so infatuated with. ๐Ÿ˜„

Yea, you're probably correct. It is only 1" as drawn.

Ah, there it is, probably from one of his lackeys. Still, thanks be to him. That kind of side interlock, though, might be subject to more twist/torque wear. I dunno, ain't got sperienze wot u gize got.

Revised version: better suited for a more substantial "load"
